Ideally, the tread area of the tire should make full contact with the road. In other words, the wheels shouldn’t be tilted, leaning, crooked, or turned when the steering wheel is straight. How can you tell if that’s not the case? In a flat parking area with the steering wheel straight and the car in park, you can examine the wheels to see if anything looks off. You may also notice the car pulling or tugging in one direction while driving. If your steering wheel appears crooked when your vehicle is traveling straight, you may have an alignment issue.
